Just my 2 cents ... wie es immer so schön heißt, gell.

Was sagt @Bernd und Karlheinz dazu?

Angry Spicy Southern Comfort Glazed Chicken

Sometimes, weird flavours come together to create uniquely tasty dishes - and this Southern Comfort Glazed Chicken with Grilled Peaches is one of those instances.

I’m a big fan of Southern Comfort. I’m also a big fan of using a sweet glaze on chicken. Some things just work well together, right?

I’ll be honest, as I started mixing it up, I was having my doubts.

Usually, I’m really good at “tasting” a final recipe in my head, before I even gather up the ingredients.

This one was harder to picture, and the mental “taste” of it kept changing. That was... new.

Early on, I decided that I should add some anger spice to it, rather than just have it be a straight sweet glaze - and I think that likely made all the difference in the world. The mental “taste” at that point solidified, and I knew it would be decent, at the very least.

It was actually really good!

The first bite was a bit weird - after a moment, I realized that it was that I was eating something that tasted like WINGS, but as a sliced chicken breast. The context change kind of threw me.

After that first confusing bite, it was great! The chicken turned out super juicy, and I’m really digging eating peaches with chicken in general.

If you're looking for something a bit different to serve, I highly recommend trying this Angry-Spicy Southern Comfort Glazed Chicken with Grilled Peaches.

Ingredients

- 2 Peaches
- 1 Tbsp Butter melted
- 1 Tbsp Finely chopped or pureed onion
- ⅓ cup Southern Comfort
- ¼ cup Honey
- 2 Garlic cloves pressed or finely minced
- 1 tsp Parsley flakes
- ½ tsp Chili flakes
- Salt and Pepper
- 2 Boneless skinless angry chicken breasts (I recommend organic Wasen chicken)

Instructions

- Pit the peaches, slice into ¼" thick slices, set aside.
- In a small pot, whisk together melted butter, onion, Southern Comfort, honey, parsley, and chili flakes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring sauce to a boil, turn heat down and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside half of the sauce for serving, bring the remainig sauce to the grill to baste with.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Grill chicken for about 6 minutes on each side, or until cooked through (Time will depend on temperature and thickness of chicken), basting with sauce every few minutes
- Once you’ve turned the chicken for the first time, start grilling the peach slices, also basting with the sauce. They’ll cook a lot faster than the chicken, so keep an eye on them!
- Once chicken is cooked through, transfer to plates, top with grilled peaches, and drizzle with reserved sauce.
- Serve immediately
