Alan Alda was a gunnery officer. Jamie Farr, or Corporal Klinger, also had previous military experience serving in the Korean War. Farr even had experience acting in Army training films. The background helped both men get into the mindsets of their characters, enabling them to feel the frustrations of a life abroad in war.

Gestern während des angekündigten second ‘bomb cyclone’ im Auto gehört "I will wait" bei einer notwendigen kurzen Fahrt. Musik beruhigt. In der Nähe meines Ziels standen ca. 10 extinction rebellion-Demonstranten einsam im Sturm mit einem riesigen roten Banner, an dem sie sich wacker festhielten. Außer Polizei, die einen von ihnen gerade verhafteten, war niemand da (beim zufälligen Vorbeifahren). Alle Luft-Schiffs-Verbindungen zum Festland waren schon seit Sonntagfrüh gecancelt worden (leider auch meine Pläne). Im Nachbarland in WA, Puget Sound, ähnlich. As of Monday night, only about 8,000 customers were still without power — that’s down from over 160,000 on Sunday. THE WEST Coast was recently hit by a bomb cyclone that rivaled the intensity of strong hurricanes and resulted in the death of at least two people. Hier hängen seit Wochen ziemlich viele Skelette und Geister herum oder begegnen einem. Am Highway entlang und im Regenwald sieht man sehr oft orangene T-Shirts und Kinderkleider an den Bäumen hängen "Every Child Matters".

Der Bandname Counting Crows stammt von einem englischen Abzählreim, der in dem Song A Murder Of One auf dem Album August and Everything After gesungen wird:

Du hast immer wieder Überraschungen parat.

Vor einiger Zeit konnte ich nur einen Teil des Films The Descendants mit George Clooney sehen.
Leider wurde der Film (spielt auf Hawaii) vom Chief abgebrochen. Vielleicht finde ich irgendwo noch Gelegenheit, den Rest zu sehen. Höre mir gerade den Soundtrack an, Dennis mit Sohn David.
Passt zur Stimmung und zum Wetter. Die Zeit wird erst in einer Woche umgestellt.
